I’ve Tried On My Fair Share of Leopard Print Coats—This Is the Style My Editor and I Are Obsessed With

Unless you’ve managed to escape to somewhere sunny for the part few months, you’ve probably noticed a particular outerwear trend seep onto London’s streets this season. Adorning all of the chicest outfits out there, the leopard print coat trend has enlivened the wardrobes of stylish city dwellers this month.

Growing in popularity by the day there is an ever expanding number of brands catering to the blossoming trend. Saturating the market, I couldn’t help but take to a few of my favourite shops and try on their offerings. After putting them to the test, I quickly realised that there was one style that stood up above the rest: Rixo’s cult-favourite Milly leopard coat (£485).

Already in the wardrobe of Who What Wear‘s editor-in-chief Hannah Almassi, who took her wild cat coat for a test drive throughout Paris Fashion Week, the coat is quickly becoming Who What Wear‘s buzziest buy.

Unlike other iterations on the market, Rixo’s Milly Leopard Coat is a longline structured style, composed of soft brushed felt. A neater alternative to the oversized and extra-fuzzy styled dominating the market, Rixo’s calf-length style feels smarter and more polished that its oversized equivalents.

Available in sizes 6—26, as well as in two other colour ways, this chic coat has been trending within fashion circles for a reason. Beyond its leopard print design, which is enough to have fashion people fawning in the first place, the coat features sleek breasted button fastening and a relaxed, boxy cut. The perfect accompaniment to a LBD this party season, this trending coat also styles well with warm knits and classic jeans, too.
