Chris Brown Sets High Hopes for Donald Trump’s Presidency

Recently, The Shade Room caught a message Chris Brown shared on his Instagram Stories before it got deleted. The ‘Sensational’ singer shared one of his hopes for Donald Trump as he gets ready to officially take on the role of the 47th President of the United States, with his inauguration set for January 20, 2025.

Breezy added the eyes emoji and then asked his Instagram followers and fans, “Anyone else hoping that Trump shuts down IRS?” he added, “If he pulls that off…… Put THAT MAN ON THE hundred dollar bill.”

Trump Says He Will Create An ‘External Tax Revenue’

While Donnie hasn’t said he’ll eliminate taxes, on Tuesday, he announced plans for a new government agency. According to AP, he wants to create the External Revenue Service to collect tariffs and other revenues from foreign countries.

“We will begin charging those that make money off of us with Trade, and they will start paying,” Trump said Tuesday on his social media site, Truth Social.

He compared his planned creation to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). To do this, he’ll need an act of Congress, and Republicans have the majority of both the House and the Senate.

One thing Trump has made loud and clear is his intention to shrink the size of government. However, his new proposed agency will be performing functions already handled by existing agencies. That means jobs potentially slashed for people working in agencies like the Commerce Department and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Mind you, Billionaire Elon Musk and fellow entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy are leading Trump’s ambitious efforts to reduce the federal government’s size and scope. Note that tariffs have become a benchmark of Trump’s economic agenda as he heads into his second term.
