How the Southern Hospitality Cast Were Being Good Friends to Emmy Sharrett Amid Relationship Drama
Who knew Leva Bonaparte’s club, Republic, would be a wasp nest full of drama? The Bravo hit, Southern Hospitality, has taken the network by storm. And while each new Bravoleb adds their own spice to the mix, everyone is talking about Emmy Sharrett and her questionable relationship with Will Kulp. The latest episode showed the gang performing an intervention and trying to be good friends. But were they?
Emmy Sharrett might be in denial
For the last three seasons, Emmy has been doing nothing but defending her relationship with the aspiring lawyer. Yet, he rarely is filmed doing the same for her. During Season 2, Will was called out for going into a bathroom with a woman on guys’ night. He stated he was helping her because she was upset. But most of the men admitted that their friend had hooked up in the loo. But Emmy forgave Will, and their love saga continued.
During the premiere of Season 3 of Southern Hospitality, viewers learned that Will had vented more than once about Emmy at her place of work. Drunk Will shared that Emmy only cared “about herself,” lacked ambition, and didn’t listen. According to Bradley Carter, “[Will said], ‘I’m not sure that’s someone that I want to be with.” These loose lips do not make the best boyfriend, but Emmy still thinks he is the best thing since sliced bread. Ever the lawyer, Will doubled down, noting “It was not a classy move at all.” But “There are literal studies that are out that say venting about your spouse is good for your mental health,” he said. “I’m happy that I worked through those emotions because I think it made me more resolute in my feelings about me and Emmy.”
Everyone is talking about Emmy Sharrett at Republic
It has to be a terrible feeling to know that your boyfriend has definitely betrayed you and everyone is whispering behind your back. But to add insult to injury, the girls at work accused Emmy of stealing from them. It turns out that the blonde was put in charge of buying all the work dresses, but the girls thought she might be using her discount to pocket some extra money. The accusation did not go down well, causing Emmy to give the performance of a lifetime.
The server freaked out at work and caused quite the scene. Between the yelling, hyperventilating, and crying, Emmy was a hot mess. It led her costars and viewers to believe that there might be more going on behind the scenes. It’s clear that Emmy is stressed. She so badly wants to hold on to her dream of a happy ending with Will. But that same dream is forcing her to isolate herself and probably stay with a man who is most likely cheating on her. The entire situation is sad.
Emmy Sharrett’s friends are just trying to help
However, Emmy’s friends are not going to sit idly by and watch her suffer if they can help it. Bradley, Maddi Reese, Joe Bradley, and TJ are trying their best to show Emmy love while also showing her the light. While at dinner at Lake Rucker’s house, the group dropped bomb after bomb on Emmy, who was ill-prepared. TJ Dinch shared, “There are people at this table who have heard things that have come from Will’s mouth.” Michols Peña shares, “It really pissed me off, the level of disrespect,” referring to body shaming comments made by Will while drinking at Republic.
The season will only get murkier as the trailer shows Maddi Reese saying, “Brad and TJ did investigating. They found the girl. They were fully together, he took her to law prom.” I feel for Emmy; I really do. I think her friends are doing everything they can to protect her. But she just continues to put her head in the sand. Even though she has dreams of marriage and children with Will I understand why her friends are trying to have her reevaluate if Will is the right person. Emmy is so stuck on the image of marrying a lawyer and being a MILF that she is failing to protect her heart. Hopefully, her friends will still be by her side when the sh*t inevitably hits the fan.
Southern Hospitality is available to stream on Peacock.
