Fans Left Heart-Wrenched Watching
ROSÉ Dance to Piano-Ballad ‘number one girl’
ROSÉ’s most recent endeavor has had quite the effect on its spectators. Born Roseanna Park, the singer has up until recently been one of the lead vocalists for renowned K-pop girl group, BLACKPINK, hiatus announcement for whom has ensued what we have in front of us today, the birth of BLACKPINK’s current leading soloist, and her first ever studio album, ‘rosie’, on December 6, 2024, three years after her singles album, ‘R’ in 2021.
What K-pop fans do have fun with is the multiple performance videos, and up and close, seemingly bare and personal behind-the-scenes videos. While she sets her genre far apart and out of the clutches of K-pop, ROSÉ
does not want her fans’ fun compromised in any manner. And fun did they have when she dropped her most recent performance video for the track ‘number one girl’, off of the album.

The pop-punk piano ballad is composed of the most heart-string-tugging crooning from the BLACKPINK singer, belting lyrics about what goes on in her mind as she begs to be acknowledged, to be the most perfect version of herself as she is, or at least, how she pretends to be, just for the spectator to accept that she is the ‘number one girl’.
As ROSÉ
sings out the heartfelt words, fans watch the singer swing around and about bare-brick walls in her sheer black over-shirt, sitting in awe as the video unfolds minute by minute.
Fans want ROSÉ to know she is their ‘number one girl’
“Fansés” are gushing about the beautiful choreography that ROSÉ
has designed for the song, successfully expressing the vulnerability of the lyrics in perfect cue with her moves. Running around a larger-than-life building makes it feel like ROSÉ
is solving a maze within her own brain. Fans are definitely backing “it up with evidence” as they rush to let ROSÉ
know how they feel about the new performance video.
Fans are flooding the comments with #ROSÉ and #number_one_girl.
