Donald Trump Fulfills Devarjaye Daniel’s Wish Of Becoming A Police Officer

For context, Donald Trump gave a shout-out to DJ Daniel, who’s been fighting brain cancer for years, during his speech on Tuesday night. Houston Public Media reports DJ was diagnosed very young, with doctors saying he only had five months left to live. Since then, DJ’s dream was always to be a cop, and Trump made that happen by making him an honorary member of the Secret Service.

“And tonight, DJ, we’re going to do you the biggest honor of them all. I am asking our new Secret Service director, Sean Curran, to officially make you an agent of the United States,” Trump said during his address.

In response, Devarjaye Daniel flashed a heart with his fingers as Donald Trump recognized him. Later, photos spread online of DJ holding up his official certificate while his dad lifted him up.

Devarjaye Daniel’s moment kept going viral with a video showing him at The White House, walking in and telling Trump, “There’s one more thing I got for you, a big hug.” The internet wasn’t feeling Trump’s reaction to the love at all. Many pointed out how dry he was, just giving D.J. a quick pat on the shoulder.

Devarjaye Daniel Details The Moment He Learned He Was Terminally Ill

In addition to his big moment at the Congressional address, The White House dropped a personal video on Instagram where Devarjaye Daniel opened up about finding out he was terminally ill.

“I started to act slow and next thing I know we was speeding all the way, running lights and going to the hospital. Next thing I know I was seizing on the table and they said nah we will have to go in his brain tonight,” DJ explained.

Additionally, DJ shared that ever since then, he’s had “13 brain surgeries, and that’s how many times his personality has changed.” However, Devarjaye mentioned that he has no plans to slow down and “will keep on going until his gas tanks run out.”
