India’s top court orders national task force on doctors’ workplace safety

India’s Supreme Court has ordered a national task force to be set up to improve doctors’ workplace safety after the rape and murder of a 31-year-old trainee doctor on shift in Kolkata on August 9. The murder led to doctors striking across the country to demand justice and safer working conditions.
