Uzbekistan’s Javokhir Sindarov drew with Andrey Esipenko as the second half of the FIDE Candidates Tournament 2026 returned with the eighth round in the Open section on Cyprus on Tuesday.
Sindarov entered the game on the back of drawing with Netherlands’ Anish Giri in the previous round, extending his sole lead at the top of the standings.
