Pacer Nandni Sharma received her maiden national call-up as BCCI announced India’s squad for Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 on Saturday.
The tournament will be held in England and Wales from June 12 to July 5.

Nandni Sharma is a 24-year-old right-arm pacer from Chandigarh. Delhi Capitals picked for Rs 20 lakh during the Women’s Premier League (WPL) auction ahead of the 2026 season.

She justified DC’s decision as she recorded a five-wicket haul, including a hat-trick, in her second game against Gujarat Giants. She became the second Indian to pick a hat-trick, and the first uncapped player to have a five-wicket haul in the tournament’s history.
She finished the season as the joint-highest wicket-taker along with Giants’ Sophie Devine, who also took 17 wickets.
As a result of her performances, she was included in the India A squad for the ACC Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars held in Thailand where she played a solitary game against the UAE.
