If you’re the kind of person who believes in art imitating life, or bad omens — well, AT&T Stadium has you covered.
The Cowboys opened the roof of their stadium for the first time in over two years, and that immediately caused a massive piece of sheet metal to plummet from the rafters and crash into the ground below.
It’s beyond lucky that nobody was injured in the incident, as dozens of people were gathered on the field, particularly along the sidelines ahead of the Monday Night Football game against the Houston Texans. Another video shows precisely how many people were on the field when crews began to open the roof.
So when the stadium isn’t blinding players it’s trying to kill people who set foot in it. It’s like a living organism doing its best to reject every part of the Cowboys until Jerry Jones gets the hell out of the way and brings in a group to fix the organization from the ground up.
Let’s hope that if (and when) he hires someone to fix the football side they also hire a roofer.
