This week, the sub-label’s first spring drop arrived, and it’s proof that Merrell’s fashion-inclined side ting can hold its own. The seasonal release spotlights a tight quintet of styles, including a futuristic rendition of Merrell’s Jungle slip-ons, a duo of soccer-inspired asymmetrical lace-ups, and a fresh take on the tried-and-true Moab low-top.

The collection might skew towards the right side of the sport-style spectrum, but it hasn’t forsaken Merrell’s utilitarian DNA. Each shoe is designed with performance-enhancing details to help you on and off the trails, like supportive sole plates, strategically-placed mesh panels, and even Kevlar-infused uppers.

If the main Merrell line is a winningly cheesy ’90s rom-com, think of 1TRL as its modern-day remake, an updated perspective on a familiar story. We’re already big fans of both.
