Prime Video is the perfect streaming home for your Valentine’s Day weekend movie binge session, and these three romantic movies offer exciting stories for those hoping to enjoy the holiday. On last weekend’s Prime Video movie recommendations, I talked about La La Land, Relationship Goals, and Sherlock Holmes. Clearly, that list was already a nice warm-up for this week’s choices.

This time around, Prime Video subscribers can learn more about two classic movies from one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, as well as an underrated Prime Video Original movie that features two lead actors from hit TV shows. This weekend’s list is all about romance!

Click (2006)

The first of the two Adam Sandler classics on the list is Click. While this one is not a straight-up rom-com, with quite a few darker elements, at the core of the story is a man who realizes just how much he has been taking his wife and children for granted. Click is a movie about cherishing what you have, perfect for Valentine’s Day.

In the film, Sandler’s Michael Newman gets a magical remote that allows him to play with time, but it ends up slowly unraveling his life in ways he could never have foreseen. Click arrived on Prime Video in the United States on February 1, just in time to climb the streamer’s charts ahead of Valentine’s Day.

50 First Dates (2004)

​​​​​​​The second and last Adam Sandler movie on the list is a rom-com for the ages. In 50 First Dates, Sandler’s Henry slowly falls for Drew Barrymore’s Lucy, who suffers from short-term memory loss. As a result, viewers watch as he has to win her heart over and over again every day.

That story makes for a heartwarming movie that will tug at anyone’s heartstrings. Sandler and Barrymore have pitch-perfect chemistry in every single rom-com they have appeared together in, ensuring that viewers are always immersed in the couple’s story, which features both sad moments and joyful experiences.

Puppy Love (2023)

​​​​​​​Finally, the rom-com without Adam Sandler and the only Prime Video Original movie on the list for this Valentine’s Day weekend is Puppy Love. Viewers should recognize the movie’s leads, as Grant Gustin made history as the most popular live-action version of DC’s The Flash in nine seasons of the Arrowverse show. He is joined by Lucy Hale, the star of the hit teen series Pretty Little Liars.

Puppy Love follows the story of Gustin’s Max and Hale’s Nicole, who go on a horrible first date, but soon discover that one of their dogs got the other pregnant, leading to both having to take care of them. With an 85% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, Puppy Love is a fun rom-com for pet lovers, covering another area on Prime Video for Valentine’s Day weekend.
