Ahead of the 2026 Grammys, KATSEYE attended Spotify’s 2026 Best New Artist Party on January 29. The girl group celebrated being nominated for not only the Grammy’s best new artist category but also the best pop duo/group performance award as well.

For the occasion, the members donned sparkly Georges Hobeika dresses to walk the red carpet. While fans buzzed over the dazzling looks online, some commenters began to scrutinize the appearance of acne on Megan’s skin. And, the KATSEYE member did not hold back in her response.

On January 31, 2026, Megan went to Instagram to share photos from the night and also took the opportunity to share a bold message. Along with the pictures of herself, she wrote, “Felt like a fairy at Spotify’s best new artist party.”

Addressing the comments about her skin, she continued, “All bodies are beautiful and acne is NORMAL!!” Then, on her Instagram story, she said, “Felt like a baddie! Even when I’m breaking out!”

In Teen Vogue’s cover story last May, Megan discussed experimenting with hair and makeup as a means of discovering who she is but was also honest about the struggle that comes with doing so in the public eye. “It’s fun, but at the same time, it is scary just knowing that everyone’s watching. And especially me, I struggle with anxiety, so I’m like, ‘Oh, I wonder if people like this or not,’” She said.

When negativity did come her way, Megan responded with self-love and empowerment. And, she isn’t the first KATSEYE member to do so. Last month, Lara also responded to those making negative comments about her body. She wrote, “Some [people] are so afraid of a healthy female body; it’s hilarious… get a grip.” She also sent a message of encouragement, “I love my body and always will, and you should love yours too! We should celebrate each other!”

So it seems as KATSEYE continues to take on bigger milestones and stages, like tonight’s Grammys or their upcoming Coachella set, they’re taking their spotlight with a message of confidence.
