Where Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein saw Jacob Elordi take on campy, conspicuously green vêtements and slightly gothic overcoats befitting Mary Shelley’s monster, the Australian actor’s latest project, Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights, has him easing into his inner modern Heathcliff by dressing in Valentine’s Day tones (rosy pinks, bright reds) and brooding, high-collared suits. But then, while he is still on the Oscar trail for Frankenstein (he’s up for best supporting actor), we landed somewhere in the middle—on just Jacob, the supersized actor.
At a BAFTA Q&A panel hosted by Netflix on Tuesday, Elordi dressed down in an Arc’teryx Beta jacket, a style favored among those with a penchant for sleek, high-quality performance wear. His choice to wear the cult-favorite outdoors brand is also a bit of a knowing—almost winking—menswear pull, as we’ve seen in many such cases. On top, he wore a Frankenstein-branded baseball cap reminiscent of the promotional red-carpet caps donned by some of our favorite celebrities of the ’90s. (Yesteryear images of Danny Devito in a Gattaca cap and Spike Lee in an X-embroidered trucker exude a sweet, proud-of-myself feel that we’d like to see more of in 2026.) He rounded out the look with voluminous white sweats made all the more massive by the actor’s vertiginous stature, which he paired with shiny, mahogany leather Saint Laurent penny loafers.

Although Elordi occasionally falls victim to the overly architected designer look (see also: much of his Frankenstein press tour), this Arc’teryx moment is a reminder that the actor always nails—and looks, perhaps, at his most sartorially enviable—a casual look. Sporty, with a wink at the style-minded guys who worship him, rounded out with a pair of chic, high-priced tag leather loafers. (The punchy red Bode jacket he wore to a Wuthering Heights press event on Wednesday worked to a similar, if slightly more keyed-up, effect.) As the Instagram account for the menswear podcast Throwing Fits joked about the outfit, some will “try to pull off this fit and forget they don’t look like Jacob Elordi”—which, all told, makes this a 10/10 execution of the Jacob Elordi outfit formula.
