Bruce Campbell in Road Trip Film Grief Comedy ‘Ernie & Emma’ Trailer

“You’re not done yet. Don’t let the old man catch up with you.” The official trailer has debuted for an indie comedy film titled Ernie & Emma, ready to play in limited theaters in the US starting this month. Ernie & Emma is written by, directed by, produced by, and stars the one-and-only Bruce Campbell. It’s the first film he has directed himself since last making My Name is Bruce back in 2007. Ernie & Emma is a poignant tale about Ernie Tyler, a small-town pear salesman, and the journey he embarks on following the death of his beloved wife. Emma leaves behind a detailed list of instructions regarding her ashes, which leads Ernie on a journey of challenging & reflective escapades across Pear Valley, Oregon. Not only a story about grief, but also a road trip film about a man rediscovering life all over again. Starring Bruce Campbell, Cerina Vincent, Robin McAlpine, and Ted Raimi (of course!!). This looks like a very kooky, especially amusing journey through the most beautiful parts of Oregon – from weed to nature to golf courses and plenty more.

As Ernie navigates the road trip of their lives, Emma helps him confront his grief & encourages him to move forward, transforming his life in the process. Ernie & Emma is written and directed by American actor / filmmaker Bruce Campbell, director of the films Man with the Screaming Brain and My Name is Bruce previously, and a few shorts. Produced by Ida Gearon & Bruce Campbell. This hasn’t premiered at any festivals or elsewhere, as far as we know. Campbell’s Ernie & Emma film opens in select US theaters on February 15th, 2026.
