First Look Trailer for ‘Under Your Feet’ Horror Film with Maribel Verdu

“Mom, the screams are coming from here.” FilmSharks has revealed a promo trailer for an indie horror film called Under Your Feet, a Spanish-Argentinian project that was filmed in both Argentina and Spain. This already premiered at the 2025 Talinn Black Nights Film Festival last year and will hit theaters in Spain this May. Isabel and her kids move into a peculiar upscale building with oddly low rent. After being selected as tenants, 3 elderly residents from downstairs start disrupting their lives. Featuring Spanish actress Maribel Verdú (from The Flash) as Isabel, with Sofía Otero, Urko Olazabal, Ibai Atanes, Zorion Eguileor, and Sandra Ferrús. Here’s the main sales pitch for Under Your Feet: “This is a remarkable, exquisite and visually sophisticated cinematic gem that aims to target fantasy/adventure lovers specially for audiences that are looking for stories that resemble the cinema we all fell in love with, like The Goonies, Super 8 and… Stranger Things.” Horror fans definitely need to watch out for this movie arriving later in 2026. Isabel (starring Maribel Verdú) moves with her two children into a very prestigious building that has a very peculiar admission method, but at a very affordable rental fee. Once approved and settled, the three elderly neighbors from the lower floor will turn their lives upside down. Under Your Feet, also known as Bajo Tus Pies in Spanish, is directed by Argentinian genre filmmaker Cristian Bernard, director of the films 76-89-03, Regresados, and Ecos de un crimen previously, plus episodes of the series “Germán, últimas viñetas” as well. The screenplay is co-written by Cristian Bernard and Ana Esperanza Villar Romarís. It’s produced by Carlos Juárez (The Platform) and Guido Rud. This initially premiered at the 2025 Talinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia last year but hasn’t shown at any other festivals yet. The film is now set for release in Spain starting in May 2026.
