Dior Confirms Jenny Kim Hire in Americas

ADORING DIOR: Jenny Kim is Dior’s new chief communications and image officer, Americas, effective Feb. 23.

This confirms a WWD report on Jan. 26 that Kim would move over from Bottega Veneta to succeed Marisa Pucci, who recently exited Dior to join Moncler.

Kim reports to Olivier Bialobos, deputy managing director, global communication and image for Christian Dior Couture and Parfums Christian Dior, and locally to Charlotte Holman Ros, president of Christian Dior Couture Americas, and Olivier Teboul, president of Parfums Christian Dior North America.

“Jenny’s experience and expertise will help deliver even more exceptional experiences to our clients and affirm a positioning fully aligned with the expression of the house’s new artistic direction,” Bialobos commented in a release.

Holman Ros, who started in her role on Feb. 1, added that Kim’s “experience and proven ability to craft powerful narratives for iconic luxury brands will be instrumental in further enhancing Dior’s presence and engagement across the Americas.”

For the past six years, Kim has been Bottega’s senior vice president of marketing and communications, based in New York. She has held senior roles at Proenza Schouler, Prada USA and Helmut Lang. She also spent five years as vice president of fashion at agency PR Consulting.

Kim joins Dior at a transformational moment, with the Paris fashion house now led by creative director Jonathan Anderson, who last month unveiled his first haute couture collection.

Anderson is scheduled to stage his second women’s ready-to-wear show on March 3 during Paris Fashion Week.

The U.S. represents a key market for the brand, which last year opened two major flagships: the House of Dior Beverly Hills at 323 North Rodeo Drive, and the House of Dior New York at the corner of 57th Street and Madison Avenue.
