‘Deadhead’ Mockumentary Comedy ‘My Dead Summer’ Official Trailer

“In this community, the trip doesn’t always go as planned…” Red Hound Entertainment has unveiled an official trailer for My Dead Summer, a mockumentary doc film releasing on VOD soon. It’s a riff on rock band tour docs and the iconic Grateful Dead experience – following fans known as “Deadheads.” My Dead Summer follows Kenny Rodgers Royce (starring Paul Stenerson), a wannabe blogger who, in honor of his late mother’s love for the Grateful Dead, sets out on a road trip to follow Dead and Company and live as a “Deadhead,” joined by his dog, his ex-hippie stepfather, and a film crew. Documenting every wild moment along the way for his blog. The cast also includes Kevin Muster as his stepfather Zeke Carlton Esq, Ashlee Buchanan, Elaine Ballace, Bill Brennenstuhl, and Dalen Muster. This seems like a super crazy fun time, obviously full of many trippy moments as he gets totally lost in the Deadhead scene. Get a puff below.

My Dead Summer is directed by American musician / filmmaker Bill Brennenstuhl, co-director on the film Run! previously, plus music videos & other series. The screenplay is written by Bill Brennenstuhl & Paul Stenerson. Produced by Bill Brennenstuhl, Paul Stenerson, Dalen Muster, Kevin Muster, James Huntsman, Patrick Alach.
