Wahoo!! One final look at this grand adventure sequel. 🍄 Universal Pictures + Illumination have launched the final official trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie – arriving in theaters on April 1st in less than one month from now. This is Illumination & Nintendo’s all-out animated sequel to the first epic The Super Mario Bros. Movie from 2023. We also posted the fun Super Bowl spot and original Yoshi charater reveal a few months ago. In this sequel, Mario ventures into space, exploring cosmic worlds and tackling galactic challenges far from the familiar Mushroom Kingdom to save the whole universe. ✨ The voice cast includes Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, and Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek. The very first trailer debuted in November last year and it keeps looking better. The final cast announcement features Donald Glover as Yoshi, with Issa Rae, Luis Guzmán, Benny Safdie as Bowser Jr., and Brie Larson. This will be a blast.

Yippee! The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is an animated film based on the world of Super Mario Bros., and follows The Super Mario Bros. Movie, released in 2023 which earned more than $1.3 billion worldwide. Illumination’s The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is co-directed by filmmakers Aaron Horvath (director of Teen Titans GO! To the Movies) and Michael Jelenic (a producer on Teen Titans Go!, ThunderCats Roar and other animated series) both of the first Super Mario Bros Movie. The screenplay is again written by Matthew Fogel (The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, Minions: The Rise of Gru). Based on the video game series from Nintendo, originally created by Shigeru Miyamoto and Gunpei Yokoi in 1983 as an arcade game. Produced by Chris Meledandri and Shigeru Miyamoto. Made by Illumination Animation. Universal debuts The Super Mario Galaxy Movie in theaters worldwide on April 1st, 2026 coming up. Excited to watch it?
