“There is more meaning and mutual understanding in exchanging a glance of the gorilla – than with any other animal I know.” Netflix has revealed their full trailer for a documentary film titled A Gorilla Story: Told by David Attenborough, the next new Attenborough film on Netflix to enjoy. This is an especially unique and emotional tale of the relationship between Attenborough and a young silverback gorilla he met years ago. This new film blends the remarkable story of David Attenborough’s first encounter with the baby gorilla Pablo with a deep dive into how Pablo’s direct descendants are doing today in the mountains of Rwanda. Weaving together new & old archival footage of the gorilla group and narrated by Attenborough— including excerpts from his 1978 journals — A Gorilla Story is packed with extraordinary gorilla behavior never filmed before. A tale of hope and joy. Executive produced by Alastair Fothergill (of Silverback Films), along with Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Davisson, Phillip Watson of Appian Way. The film also returns with a crew to check up on how Pablo’s direct descendants are doing today. This is extraordinary! Such powerful, intimate footage of these gorillas and their family in the wild. This really looks like a must watch nature doc.
