The sped-up transition of winter to spring to summer-like weather has wreaked havoc on my scalp. So much dryness and sun exposure all within the span of a few months. I’ve found that replacing my typical shampoo with this exfoliating scrub once a week has gone a long way in quelling dandruff and redness. And the best part is: It smells like a dank, mystical hike in the mountains.
As someone who is especially wary of new exercise fads, I was skeptical when I first learned about The Class, a cardio class that melds breath, movement, and mental awareness as a way to regulate the nervous system. (Especially since I would much prefer a yoga session and some weight lifting to any variation of HIIT). But I can’t recommend it enough! The playlists are on point, the instructors are inclusive and won’t drive you too hard, and there’s enough looseness free movment, like you’re in a trance on the dance floor. It’s basically a sober rave. When I went to the brand’s Santa Monica location earlier this month, I hadn’t done that many jumping jacks in like, six years, but I had so many endorphins running through me that I didn’t even feel tired by the end of the hour-long session. There’s a location in New York, too, but you can also take part in a livestream from the comfort of your own at-home exercise studio.
