Watch: Mesmerizing Animated Music Video for Yorushika’s ‘Madder’

“Let me hear your sorrow, let your heart tremble. Akane, let me hear your voice, let your body tremble…” A must watch new animated music video from Japan has debuted online featuring some stunning animation by the brilliant Yoshiki Imazu. The video is for the song “Madder” by Japanese duo called Yorushika, which is also an anime theme song. This new music video features painted style animation work by Imazu following 2 people in this story. It was featured as the theme song in The Dangers in My Heart: The Movie (from 2013) – which is a compilation film from The Dangers in My Heart TV anime series based on Norio Sakurai’s romantic comedy manga series. Some of the most superb animation is appearing in music videos recently and I can’t help but share this amazing work whenever I come across it. Absolutely mesmerizing, beautiful artwork with this entrancing animation makes this whole 4 minute song feel like an entire journey.

Thanks to Catsuka for the tip on this. This music video is for the track “Madder” created by the Japanese band Yorushika (visit their official site). Founded in 2017 – the group is composed of N-buna, a Vocaloid producer, and Suis, a female vocalist. This particular track is also the theme song for the animated movie My Dangerous Mind (also known as 「僕の心のヤバイやつ」) – check out the movie’s website for more info. This “Madder” music video is entirely created and directed and animated by award-winning Japanese animation filmmaker Yoshiki Imazu – you can see more of his work on his official website or follow him on Tumble here. Burger then drove him home to give reliever Jalen Beeks (1-0) the win.
