It’s official, “Andor” actress Adria Arjona has scored the last major role in James Gunn’s “Man of Tomorrow” which is about to begin shooting.
THR reports that after several rounds of screen tests in Atlanta, Arjona has been chosen for the mystery role in the new film.
The trade says that while it has previously been reported that the character was comic antiheroine Maxima, an alien queen, it’s unknown if that is correct.
Arjona beat out the likes of Eva De Dominici, Sydney Chandler and Grace Van Patten, who also reportedly tested earlier this month.
David Corenswet returns as Superman alongside Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Lars Eidinger as Brainiac and various “Superman” returnees including Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane), Skyler Gisondo (Jimmy Olsen), Sara Sampaio (Eve Teschmacher), Isabela Merced (Hawkgirl), Nathan Fillion (Guy Gardner) and Edi Gathegi (Mister Terrific).
“Lanterns” star Aaron Pierre will also be appearing as his Green Lantern character John Stewart. Filming is about to kick off shortly ahead of a planned July 9th 2027 release.
