DCU’s Supergirl was introduced to audiences in Superman, and her upcoming solo movie will see new DC characters like Lobo, played by Jason Momoa, gracing the big screen. While the first teaser trailer only showed a small glimpse of the character, a new Supergirl poster has shown a detailed look at Lobo.
What do we see in the Supergirl poster?
A new international poster for the movie puts Lobo front and center alongside Kara Zor-El, Krypto, and Ruthye Marye Knoll. The poster shows Momoa’s Lobo looking like a spitting image of his comic book counterpart, sitting on the space hog, his cosmic motorcycle. The poster also shows Milly Alcock‘s Supergirl, though it’s not a new look at the character.
The new look at Ruthye doesn’t reveal much, besides showing her holding a sword, which is a central driving force of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, the comic book that inspired the movie. The poster also features baby Kryto, who will play an integral role in the film if the comic book is anything to go by.
Following Supergirl, the Girl of Steel will reportedly return in Man of Tomorrow, the Superman sequel. Supergirl will follow Kara Zor-El and Krypto in an intergalactic adventure. Supergirl is directed by Craig Gillespie, from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira. DC Studios co-CEO Peter Safran is confident in the spinoff, stating recently that it will prove once and for all that superhero fatigue is a myth, although certain creative choices from the film are already dividing fans.
In addition to Alcock and Momoa, the cast of Supergirl includes Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll, David Krumholtz as Zor-El, Emily Beecham as Alura In-Ze, and Ferdinand Kingsley as Elias Knoll.
Supergirl releases in theaters on June 26, 2026.
