Brooke Shields is opening up about the time she spent with John F. Kennedy Jr.

While appearing on Watch What Happens Live this week, a fan asked the actress about JFK Jr.

“We dated,” she confirmed. “I didn’t have a love story. I had a crazy, crazy crush. We dated, but I never slept with him, so I don’t know if that counts.”

The actress is mentioned in an episode of the FX series Love Story and she learned about the mention from her daughter Rowan Henchy, who was a production assistant on the show.

“That was a little weird. I was away, and my daughter called me and she says, ‘Oh my God, you’re mentioned in Love Story,’ and she’s like, ‘Is it true?’” Brooke told People. “I was like, ‘OK, I’d be happy to tell you all the stories if you want, but—yes.’”

Brooke and JFK Jr. were linked in the 1980s and she has said that their kiss was “the best kiss [she’s] ever had in [her] life.”

On the Howard Stern Show a few years ago, Brooke explained why she didn’t sleep with him. She said, “I was like, ‘Oh my God, you’re falling in love and if you sleep with him, he may not talk to you again.’ I wasn’t playing a game, I really was just so afraid of being really hurt. Because if I slept with him, I would have given him my entire universe, my heart, my everything.”

Brooke also made a TikTok video about the fling earlier this year.
