Mayor of Kingstown star Jeremy Renner just dropped a colossal update on the future of his hit Taylor Sheridan show. First airing in 2021, Mayor of Kingstown was one of the first series from Sheridan to follow Yellowstone, his hit neo-Western led by Kevin Costner. The show even recruited Marvel and Mission: Impossible veteran Jeremy Renner to star in the lead role as Mike McClusky. Although the first season wasn’t particularly well-received by critics, it earned strong enough viewership to warrant a second season, and then continued this trend after recently being renewed for Season 4. The fourth season of Mayor of Kingstown began filming earlier this year, and Renner has just taken to his personal Instagram to announce that it’s officially wrapped filming in a post with a new image that can be found below.

It’s also been confirmed that the fourth season of Mayor of Kingstown will premiere on Paramount+ this October, just after Tulsa King Season 3 but before Landman Season 2. While Taylor Sheridan got his start as a scribe writing movies like Sicario, Hell or High Water, and Wind River, he’s been working on strictly television for the last few years after teaming up with Michael B. Jordan for Without Remorse. Just last year, Sheridan released new seasons of five TV shows, including wrapping up the year with Landman, the contemporary Western smash hit led by Billy Bob Thornton. Landman has arguably taken the reins from Yellowstone as Sheridan’s next big series, and although the show only has one season under its belt, its return to streaming can safely be considered one of the most anticipated debuts of the year.
