
It sounds like Marvel Animation, Marvel Television, and Disney+ are all-in on “X-Men ’97” as there is official word from the creatives on the mutant-focused streaming series that they’re already working on a Season 4 after an early greenlight on Season 3, and the second batch of episodes won’t be premiereing until July.
In a new profile at Entertainment Weekly, the show’s executive producer Larry Houston (co-director on the original Fox Kids series which was the basis for the modern continuation) has revealed that early development has started on a fourth season, something that is news to us but still expected as the “The X-Men” reboot, a mysterious “Deadpool” movie in development (possibly another team-up story), and other mutant-releated projects are expected with The Mutant Saga era of the MCU being on the horizon.
