Maitreyi Ramakrishnan Wore a Pair of Classic Dad Sneakers for Pride

Maitreyi Ramakrishnan is closing out Pride Month in style while prioritizing comfort. On July 1, 2025, the Never Have I Ever alum took to her Instagram grid to post a photo dump from her time at a Pride Parade with Matt Bernstein, and she did so wearing a pair of some of the comfiest sneakers you can own.

In the pictures posted to her account, Ramakrishnan is the epitome of cuteness. She is wearing a cropped, loose periwinkle prep polo knit sweater from Victoria’s Secret, featuring a white-and-maroon striped design, paired with a white and red gingham pleated mini skirt, and her aviator-style reading glasses.

Adding an unexpected casual edge to her otherwise dainty look, Ramakrishnan opted for a pair of 9060 sneakers from New Balance, which, in a very non-Gen Z twist, she wore without visible socks.

The 9060 sneakers, which New Balance classifies as a “unisex lifestyle” silhouette, are inspired by the brand’s classic 99X series, borrowing the “tech aesthetic of the Y2K era” to create a more modern version of the classic “dad sneaker.” (Technical with a twist is one of the top trending sneaker styles of the summer, after all!)

The 9060s favored by Ramakrishnan come in an array of colors, so, like her, you could opt for a more classic gray and white version, or go all out with all-black, colorful suedes, and even baby pinks. Just make sure the ‘fit is as cute as Maitreyi Ramakrishnan’s!
