DIOR DEBUT: Dior has opened in Oakridge Park, the massive, mixed-used upscale development in Vancouver, Canada, that was launched last May.
The Dior store, located at 650 West 41st Avenue, has an exterior with a distinctive, elegant white marble facade in six finishes, which is enhanced by a graphic interpretation of cannage. Inside, noble materials, pale shades, floral wallpaper and different finishes create a decor punctuated by Dior’s signature codes. Versailles parquet floors, cannage and cabochon imbue the space with a spirit that blends heritage and modernity.
The Dior women’s and men’s collections, designed by Jonathan Anderson, encompass ready-to-wear, leather goods, small leather goods, accessories and shoes, as well as fine jewelry by Victoire de Castellane.
The setting houses artworks including “Overlight Horizon” by Florian & Michael Quistrebert, “Summer Drift, 2026” by Canadian painter Andrew Dadson, “APC 1473, 2026” by Vincent Lemaître and the striking mirror “Grand Flocon” by Franck Evennou, all of which “prolong this dialogue between joie de vivre and the house’s legacy,” Dior indicated in a statement on the new store. Special furniture pieces, such as “Side by Side” by Ado Chale and a coffee table by Alasdair Cooke, further elevate the interior.
The 5 million-square-foot Oakridge Park, Canada‘s largest redevelopment, has emerged as an epicenter for luxury and upscale retailing. It’s located just south of downtown Vancouver. Aside from Dior, luxury tenants include Alexander Wang, Chanel, Ferragamo, Brunello Cucinelli, Canada Goose, Christian Louboutin, Dolce & Gabbana, Harry Rosen, Loewe, Longchamp, Loro Piana, Louis Vuitton, Maison Margiela, Max Mara, Miu Miu, Moncler, Prada, Thom Browne, Versace, Acne Studios and Valentino.
Oakridge Park’s shopping center has 650,000 square feet of retail, with 100 stores, about 85 percent of which opened for business on May 28.
