We feel like we’ve grown up with Malia and Sasha Obama, and honestly, we pretty much have! The sisters became part of the public consciousness when their father ran for and won the presidency in 2008, and as they grew up in the White House, we followed along with them—and continue to today, especially for style inspiration. The sisters have their own unique styles, but their outfits always look great together. For the opening of their father’s Barack Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, Illinois, they gave a plunging neckline and oversized boho belt a business casual spin with a touch of ’00s nostalgia.

Malia, 27, went for a suiting-inspired ensemble in an oversized pale gray blazer jacket and darker charcoal gray miniskirt combo, skipping a top under the blazer and buttoning just one button. She paired it with gray heels to match the skirt and wore her red hair in long boho braids.

Sasha, who just celebrated her 25th birthday on June 10, also kept to a neutral palette in a drapey white off-the-shoulder top and matching fishtail midi skirt, which she cinched at her waist with a very Y2K-style brown leather boho belt with a silver buckle. She wore open-toed leather heels and accessorized with chunky silver earrings.

For a night out in May, Sasha tried out a Texas tuxedo denim-on-denim vibe, while Malia combined a slip dress and moto boots. They also treated us to the ultimate casual, sister-sister summertime style on June 16 in California, with Malia in the classic combo of white tank, denim mini, and boots and Sasha wearing a sheer printed babydoll top and flowing white pants.
