“I don’t want anything to be possible. I just want one thing to be possible.” Row K Entertainment unveiled an official trailer for Charlie Harper, a modern romance film from filmmakers Tom Dean & Mac Eldridge. This premiered at the 2025 Toronto Film Festival last year to mostly good reviews, with a release set now a full year later in September 2026. Will it find an audience? Emilia Jones and Nick Robinson star as the lovers Harper and Charlie trying to figure out their relationship. Reviews state: “Charlie Harper may not redefine the genre, but it certainly earns its place among the more sincere depictions of young love and should be a hit with young audiences.” Harper and Charlie try to build a life together. While Harper strives to carve out a career as a chef, Charlie is stuck. Facing challenges in their relationship, they struggle to prove they are meant for each other, but will their love be enough? “An impressive debut from Eldridge and Dean as filmmakers, Charlie Harper speaks to the beauty and emotional brutality of love.” The cast also includes Nicholas Cirillo, Virginia Tucker, Sebastian Delascasas, and Ja’Quan Henderson. This film has a fractured narrative with lots of flashbacks to many moments of their relationship. Will it work out for them?

Charlie Harper is an emotional modern romance that explores tension between love, ambition, identity, and personal growth. Through the evolving relationship of Charlie and Harper (starring Nick Robinson and Emilia Jones), the movie examines what happens when two people deeply connected to one another begin growing in different directions, forcing them to decide whether love alone is enough. Charlie Harper is co-directed by filmmakers Tom Dean & Mac Eldridge, making their feature directorial debut together on this project after a few other short films. The screenplay is written by Tom Dean (also writer of Carolina Caroline). It’s produced by Wyck Godfrey, Isaac Klausner, Laura Quicksilver, Patrick Wachsberger, Ashley Stern, and Mallory Edens. This initially premiered at the 2025 Toronto Film Festival last fall. Row K Ent. debuts Charlie Harper in US theaters starting on September 25th, 2026 coming soon. Does it look good?
