San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle and his wife, Claire Kittle, have experienced unexpected travel delays ahead of friends Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s reported wedding date.

“Just sat at BNA all evening,” Claire, 32, captioned a car selfie with George, also 32, via her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, July 1, using the code for the Nashville airport. “Was supposed to depart at 5:30 p.m., now it’s 8 a.m. lol.”

While the Kittles have not shared their travel itinerary, they previously teased their attendance at the upcoming wedding of Swift and Kelce, both 36. The Grammy winner is reportedly planning to marry the Kansas City Chiefs tight end at New York City’s Madison Square Garden in a two-day celebration over 4th of July weekend. (Swift and Kelce have not publicly divulged any wedding day details.)

George recently cohosted his annual Tight End University (TEU) program with Kelce and Greg Olsen and, on the red carpet, George teased he still didn’t have all the invite details.

“We don’t know,” George told Entertainment Tonight last month when asked if the ceremony was taking place at MSG. “I actually asked Travis last night and he laughed at me.”

Swift and Kelce still haven’t given any of their invited guests venue details in the lead-up to the big day, which a source told Us Weekly is set for Thursday, July 2, and Friday, July 3.

A second insider exclusively told Us earlier this week that invitees have only been told that MSG is a meeting point before the “whimsical” nuptials. Ahead of guests’ “ultimate surprise” on the big day, various delivery trucks have been spotted outside the Big Apple arena all week to deliver furniture, food and other decor.

While the low-key invites didn’t disclose the venue, George claimed that there was one specific demand.

“They said absolutely no gifts, but I was thinking [that] Travis, for some reason, likes old coins so I might get him an old coin,” George told Extra last month. “Sounds expensive, too. [I hope they] have so much fun with all [their] friends.”

In addition to potentially bringing a gift for Kelce, George was hopeful that the bride and groom will serve up a special experience for guests that especially differed from teammate Christian McCaffrey’s 2024 wedding to Olivia Culpo.

“I had to provide most of the beer,” George exclusively told Us Weekly in April, recalling how McCaffrey, 30, ran out of drinks on the big day. “I think Travis will be pretty prepared. I think they’ll have plenty. It’s a great time that I’m looking forward to.”
