Jason Statham Stole My Bike
“Ted Lasso” star Hannah Waddingham has joined the cast of the adventure-comedy “Jason Statham Stole My Bike” from filmmaker David Leitch and writer Alison Flierl.

Statham himself stars “in the role of a lifetime, playing global action superstar Jason Statham”. Plot and character specifics are under wraps. The film opens in cinemas August 6th 2027. [Source: Deadline]

Jackie Earle Haley (“Preacher”), Michael Gandolfini (“Daredevil: Born Again”), Justine Lupe (“Succession), Anna Mirodin (“Ivan”), Jayne Taini (“Unbelievable), Tom Pecinka (“Stereophonic”), Melora Walters (“Magnolia”), Ben Krieger (“Song Sung Blue”), Natalie Shinnick (“The Brutalist”), and Jan Hoag (“Destroyer”) have all joined David Robert Mitchell’s “It Follows” sequel.

Paddy Considine, Kit Harington, America Ferrera and Alex Hassell have been revealed as being stars in Ronan Bennett’s new TV series reimagining of “Army of Shadows” for Channel 4 and CANAL+. The six-episode series, helmed by Lisa Gunning, reimagines the French Resistance tale as being set in a near-future Britain under American occupation. [Source: Variety]

Joe Alwyn (“The Favourite”) is reportedly in talks to join “The Brutalist” director Brady Corbet’s upcoming feature “The Origin of the World” starring Michael Fassbender, Cate Blanchett, and Selena Gomez.

The Bell Jar
Emmy nominee Carey Mulligan has joined the cast of Sarah Polley’s film adaptation of Sylvia Plath’s novel “The Bell Jar” at Focus Features. Billie Eilish makes her acting debut as Esther Greenwood.

Mulligan will play Mrs. Greenwood, mother to Esther. Connor Storrie (“Heated Rivalry”) also stars in the film while Plan B, Studiocanal and Joy Coalition are producing the project. [Source: Variety]
