Gerber’s hair and makeup for the night embraced the retro flair. She opted for a voluminous blowout that gave her honey bronde hair movement and dimension and complemented the ‘do with an equally glam beat. She opted for ombré glossy lips, thin brows, fluttery lashes, and a soft and subtle smokey eye that made her look like her mother Cindy Crawford’s twin. (Yes, more than ever before!)

Clearly, the Valentino dress was delicate and precious because both inside and as she headed back from the after-party, Gerber changed into another column dress, this time a simple black gown with invisible spaghetti straps, which she paired with black sunglasses and black open-toe heels.

If you combine both looks Gerber wore for the night, they’ll make the perfect amalgam of the look her mother wore to the 10th Annual MTV Video Music Awards on September 2, 1993, which you can see below. For that occasion, Crawford wore a black column dress with spaghetti straps that also combined sheer with shimmery beads, and that’s what we call fashion kismet!
