Meghan Markle‘s signature quiet luxury style got the casual treatment during her appearance at a screening of “Cookie Queens” at Camp Arnaz in Ojai, Calif., on Wednesday night.

The As Ever founder’s elevated summer style moment kicked off with the Gaia marled T-shirt from Brochu Walker. Crafted in Italian marled yarn, the short-sleeve shirt was designed with a V-shaped neckline and ribbed trim.

Cast in a terra mal tone, the top was contrasted by a pair of white shorts courtesy of Jenni Kayne — one of Markle’s go-to quiet luxury brands. Finishing touches for the Duchess of Sussex’s look included a pair of dark loafers. Accessories included her signature tank Française gold watch, which previously belonged to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana, and a necklace by Logan Hollowell.

Since Markle and her husband Prince Harry took a step back from their lives as senior members of the British royal family in 2020, the “With Love, Meghan” presenter’s wardrobe has returned to her California roots, spotlighting several quiet luxury brands based in the U.S.

Brochu Walker, based in Los Angeles, and Jenni Kayne, based in Southern California, are just two of several designers from the Golden State Markle tends to gravitate toward. And though her quiet luxury style often takes shape through essentials like simple dresses, tailored suits and basics, her summer spin on the style has been a showcase in elevated casual attire.

Heidi Merrick, Bleusalt and Frame are just a few of the other California quiet luxury brands Markle tends to feature in her wardrobe. And during her “With Love, Meghan” series, Markle sported more pieces by Carolina Herrera and Veronica Beard, among others.

Markle and Prince Harry serve as executive producers on “Cookie Queens,” a documentary that follows four Girl Scouts, each vying to be the top-selling Girl Scout Cookie Queen. The film hits limited release in the U.S. on Aug. 7.
