‘Hazbin Hotel’ Plans to Raise Sing-Along Hell at a Movie Theater Near You

Check into Hazbin Hotel for a special sing-along screening on October 1.

A24 and Prime Video get in on the streaming-goes-to-the-movies trend with their own musical series, Hazbin Hotel, which will invite their faithful fans to join in on a helluva time at the cinema. Beginning Tuesday, September 2, tickets will be available for special screenings across the country of the show’s first four episodes from season one. Featuring songs performed by stars, including Erika Henningsen as Charlie Morningstar and Stephanie Beatriz as Vaggie, on-screen lyrics will be played across the screen. Ripe for shadowcast performances of songs such as “Happy Day in Hell,” “Poison,” and “Loser, Baby,”  Gen Z theater kids, it’s your moment to shine.

No doubt inspired by the success of KPop Demon Hunters sing-along screenings over this past weekend, giving animation the chance to shine on the big screen feels like a long time coming when so many projects just get plopped onto their corresponding streamer. Even when Taylor Swift and Beyoncé released their concert films in the theater, themed event screenings have been a phenomenon we can’t wait to see more of. We’ve been chasing that Barbenheimer high so let’s continue to bring that cinema-saving energy as we get closer to the release of Wicked: For Good come November.

Still, it makes reading ultra comfortable, especially for my strained wrists.
