Best Amazon deal: Save 48% on the Amazon Echo Pop Kids

SAVE $24: The Amazon Echo Pop Kids smart speaker is on sale for $25.99 at Amazon, down from the usual price of $49.99. That’s a 48% discount.

The kids are almost out of school for the year, and it’s time to celebrate their accomplishments. If you’re searching for a small gift for finishing the school year, there’s a great deal on a speaker meant for kids today at Amazon.

As of June 10, the Amazon Echo Pop Kids smart speaker is on sale for $25.99, marked down from the normal price of $49.99. That’s a major 48% discount that takes $24 off the list price. It also comes within $3 of the lowest price we’ve ever seen at Amazon.

A smart speaker can be a great addition to a kid’s bedroom. With it, they can host a dance party, set a reading timer for 20 minutes, or listen to a fun podcast about sea life. Kids can also use the Echo Pop Kids to set a morning alarm or turn off compatible smart lights. Come September, they can use it to ask Alexa for homework help. Alexa also comes with a kid-friendly filter so little ears won’t have access to explicit songs, and all questions will come with child-appropriate answers.

Like most Amazon gadgets for kids, the Echo Pop Kids comes with Amazon’s two-year worry-free guarantee, which means you’ll get a completely free replacement should the smart speaker break. Plus, the Amazon Parent Dashboard gives adults total control over time limits and content.

Today’s deal on the Echo Pop Kids also comes with free access to Amazon Kids+ for six months. This means summer break can be packed with free Audible books, games, morning routines, and more. Keep in mind that this subscription is set to renew after the initial six months for $5.99 per month, but you’re free to cancel at any time.

While it’s on sale for 48% off, snag the Amazon Echo Pop Kids for just $25.99. It’s a great way to celebrate the end of the school year with something that can be fun and also educational this summer.

Thanks to BTS member J-Hope, we now have our first look at Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide in the wild, ahead of the July 22 Galaxy Unpacked event.

According to a report from 9to5Google’s Ben Schoon, the singer was filmed using the device during soundcheck footage at a BTS World Tour stop in Paris, with the compiled clips circulating on X. The footage shows J-Hope holding and filming with the device from both front and back angles. The device in the video matches leaked renders of the new wide version of the Galaxy Z Fold 8, which is expected to go head-to-head with the iPhone Ultra Fold later this year.

The clips show a purple finish, though the phone isn’t shown unfolded, leaving its inner display still unseen. Samsung maintains a marketing partnership with BTS, and 9to5Google suggested the phone was likely supplied to J-Hope through that relationship rather than as an intentional early reveal.

The device is widely expected to carry the Galaxy Z Fold 8 name, though as we’ve noted, the branding may cause confusion. This version reportedly isn’t a direct successor to last year’s Z Fold 7, with that role instead going to a separate Z Fold 8 Ultra.

In our guide to Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide leaks, the reported specs point to a 5.5-inch external display, 7.6-inch internal display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, 12GB RAM, and a 4,800mAh battery, alongside a camera setup: 50MP wide, 50MP ultrawide, dual 10MP selfie. This marks a step down from the Z Fold 7’s 200MP main sensor.

Samsung is set to formally unveil the device alongside the Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and new smartwatches at the July 22 Galaxy Unpacked event in London.

Mashable will be at Samsung’s London event, so check back on Wednesday for our live blog and the latest Galaxy Unpacked news.
