Would it get boring watching the same movie trailer every single day? Let’s find out! I have been following a die-hard movie lover on Twitter known as “Van Watch Movies” (his handle is @alejandroxpadi) who has been watching the trailer for James Cameron’s epic sci-fi sequel Avatar: Fire and Ash every single day (yes – every day) for the last 4 months straight. Now that we’re into the final countdown, with release just a few weeks away, I needed to interview him and ask him about this and why he’s so obsessed with Avatar. So here we go – meet Martin Padilla (his real name, though he tells me his friends all call him Van). I caught up with him on Zoom recently for a 15 minute chat about all things Avatar, movie trailers, and geeking out about James Cameron and Pandora and all the characters in this movies. One thing is for sure: he’s not tired at all of watching it every day, and he continues to post a new photo every day confirming he has watched the trailer again. As of this post publishing, he’s at Day 125. Van started watching the very first Avatar: Fire & Ash teaser when it dropped at the end of July and he is as excited as ever to finally watch the sequel soon.
To view the Avatar 3 trailers: you can watch the teaser trailer for Cameron’s Avatar: Fire & Ash right here and the main official trailer here. Along with the most recent “Get Your Tickets” final trailer before it opens.

For the latest trailer watch updates – follow “Van Watch Movies” on Twitter @alejandroxpadi. He’s based in Atlanta, GA and tells the story in the video about seeing the first Avatar back in 2009. Hopefully I can follow up with him after the movie is out to discuss it and see how many of his theories from all of the trailers were accurate (and which other guesses were totally off). He might be right on with many of these! FirstShowing is a website focused on movie trailers and upcoming releases – we’ve been posting the latest trailers non-stop for the last 20 years, including the original iconic The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo teaser when it arrived back in 2011. We love hyping up movies, talking about trailers, sharing trailers, discussing trailers, analyzing trailers, and everything else related to the excitement before a movie drops in theaters. Thank you to Martin for his time and for his dedication to watching this trailer over and over. At this point, James Cameron owes him a special thank you if not a meet and greet. This is serious dedication to cinema.
Set on the moon Pandora directly after the events of the first two movies Avatar and Avatar: The Way of Water. Jake & Neytiri’s family grapples with grief after Neteyam’s death, encountering a new, aggressive Na’vi tribe – the Ash People – who are led by the fiery Varang, as the conflict on Pandora escalates and a new moral focus emerges. Avatar: Fire and Ash, also known as Avatar 3, is directed by iconic Canadian filmmaker James Cameron, director of the films Piranha II: The Spawning, The Terminator, Aliens, The Abyss, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, True Lies, Titanic, Avatar & Avatar: The Way of Water previously; and a producer on Alita: Battle Angel and Terminator: Dark Fate. The screenplay is by James Cameron & Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver; story by James Cameron & Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver & Josh Friedman & Shane Salerno. Produced by James Cameron, Jon Landau (RIP), and Rae Sanchini. 20th Century Studios + Disney releases James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash in theaters worldwide in every cinema size starting December 19th, 2025 at the end of the year. More updates @officialavatar. Who’s ready to return again?
