OPPO Enco Buds 3 Pro+ Review: Best Budget Earbuds of 2025

OPPO Enco Buds 3 Pro+ Review: Best Budget Earbuds of 2025

In the hotly contested Indian TWS market, OPPO has carved a unique place for itself with the Enco lineup. Its buds have always had great sound and tuning, all while being exceptional value for money, to the point that my last three earbuds were all from OPPO. The Enco Buds 3 Pro Plus are OPPO’s latest entry in the market. Launched alongside the Find X9 series, they build on its little brother, the Pro, and add improved tuning and, most importantly, active noise cancellation.

OPPO sent over their new earbuds almost a week back, and since then, I’ve taken them to the gym, been on a road trip, and even flown across the country to a launch event. This review will share my experience with the Enco Buds 3 Pro and help you decide whether to spend ₹2,099 (offer price ₹1,899 until December 10) on them or not. Spoiler alert, they are plenty good.

Summary

At INR 2,099, the OPPO Enco Buds 3 Pro+ are priced INR 300 higher than the regular Pro earbuds. For the money, you get arguably a better design, inclusion of ANC that works really well, and a well-balanced sound profile. All this, coupled with the comfortable fit, makes the Buds 3 Pro+ a really decent option for anyone shopping in the segment.

Design & Comfort

The Enco 3 Pro+ are a pretty standard-looking pair of earbuds. The design, while looking like a spitting image of the recently launched OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro, is really good. You get a case that’s pill-shaped, meaning it fits right in your palms and doesn’t protrude too much from your jeans pocket. The dark blue matte finish is definitely the highlight, as it not only looks super pretty but also protects the case from unnecessary scratches. The opening and closing mechanism is satisfactory, so you can use the case as a fidget toy as well. Speaking of the case, OPPO has thankfully included a physical pairing button, which takes away the hassle of fiddling with touch controls when pairing with a new device.

Comfort is a tricky thing to answer when it comes to earbuds. That’s because everyone’s ears are different, and earbuds that fit me well might not fit you. Nevertheless, I am a fan of the Enco 3 Pro+ because it fits me amazingly. My ears aren’t the standard shape, and it was refreshing to use a pair of earbuds that don’t slide off during bench press. OPPO has also bundled a couple of differently sized tips, so if the pre-applied ones feel small or large, you can experiment with others. The buds are also IP55 certified, meaning they can survive sweaty gym sessions and light drizzle, but not submersion.

Sound Quality & Battery Life

A person wearing a pair of earbuds

Both the OPPO Enco Buds 3 Pro+ and the regular 3 Pro house the same 12.4mm drivers, and the sound quality is exactly what you can expect. Like I said in my 3 Pro review, OPPO’s sound tuning is the best in the business, with earbuds sounding perfectly balanced, as all things should be, while maintaining decent clarity and a good amount of bass. While there is no full equalizer, which is very unfortunate, the three sound modes are plenty good. The 3 Pro+ default to the Original Sound setting, and I’ll suggest keeping them there, as it offers the best audio. If you want a bit more bass, there’s Bass Boost, or if you like listening to podcasts, the Clear Vocals option enhances the dialogue for better clarity.

Beyond music, I connected the buds to my handy MacBook for a quick Pluribus episode, and the experience was really good. The latency was sharp, and the dialogues were crisp as well. The earbuds also support the AAC codec. Call quality was top-notch during my limited testing, with my friends reporting a clear voice and minimal background noise. On the subject of background, the Enco 3 Pro+ supports up to 32dB of active noise cancellation. In practice, it was enough to block out most noise while sitting inside an airplane without a hitch. Sure, you can still hear some engine noise, but with a song playing at 50% volume, it all just vanishes away.

Battery life is another strong point for the Enco Buds 3 Pro+. In my testing, with ANC on most of the time, I got roughly 25 hours of listening time before needing to recharge the case. The buds themselves can last 7 hours of a continuous listening session. Beyond that, they also support fast charging, going from 20% to 90% in just 30 minutes.

Controls & Companion App

HeyMelody companion app

If you’ve read my previous reviews, then you know controls are a super easy thing to mess up, take the Nothing Ear (a) for example. Fortunately, OPPO’s controls have always worked decently for me, and the same is true for the 3 Pro+. A single or double tap can be configured to play/pause, skip to the previous or next track, or even trigger the Voice Assistant or Game Mode. A touch-and-hold can be used to enable ANC or Transparency mode.

All this is managed via the HeyMelody app or the Bluetooth settings on OPPO and OnePlus phones. The app is fairly standard, allowing you to configure most general settings like sound modes and changing what a gesture does. There’s also a Find My Earbud setting, which was put to the test pretty early: I dropped my buds while exiting a car and had to look for them on a quiet street at night. Since the buds support Bluetooth 5.4, you can also configure dual pairing.

Verdict

At ₹2,099, the OPPO Enco Buds 3 Pro+ are priced INR 300 higher than the regular Pro earbuds. For the money, you get arguably a better design, inclusion of ANC that works really well, and a well-balanced sound profile. All this, coupled with the comfortable fit, makes the Buds 3 Pro+ a really decent option for anyone shopping in the segment.

This is a solid Amazon price for anyone who prefers buying their boxes through the major retailer. The boxes at these lower price points have been selling quickly, but the next-lowest listing is sitting at $239.95 — which is an also-respectable $40 off.

The Mega Evolution set’s Perfect Order expansion puts Pokémon that appeared in the Pokémon Legends: Z-A game, like (Mega Zygarde ex), front and center, with more than 120 cards to collect across the set. These also include Mega Clefable ex, Mega Starmie ex, and Meowth ex, alongside more new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex cards for collectors and players to chase.

Each Booster Display Box comes with 36 booster packs, and each pack includes 10 random cards. That makes this the clear pick over single-sleeved packs if you’re planning to rip a larger number of Perfect Order at once, build out a set binder, or just give yourself more chances at the expansion’s bigger pulls.

You can also grab the Pokémon TCG Perfect Order Elite Trainer Booster Box for around $70. As for the latest upcoming expansion, you can preorder the Pokémon TCG Chaos Rising Booster Box for just under $240.
