How To Get Mega Crabominable In Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension

Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension has some Mega Evolutions that are off the beaten path. Several of them are found in the core campaign, but you’ll need to tackle some tough side missions to complete your Pokédex.

Mega Crabominable is one of those Pokémon that you likely won’t be able to catch early in the DLC, especially if you’re coming in straight off the Z-A campaign. You’ll want to bulk up a bit for this one.

Where To Find Mega Crabominable In Legends: Z-A

You Can Find Them Shortly After The DLC Kicks Off

After starting the DLC and finishing the first Mission in Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension (Hyperspace Lumiose Survey No. 1), you’ll start encountering more Hyperspace portals out in Lumiose City. We found Mega Crabominable in the lower right-hand corner through an Unidentified Mega Stone portal. You’ll see it on the map as “side mission detected,” because there is a side mission inside that you’ll pick up from an NPC.

Enter the portal, speak to the NPC, and grab the sidequest. After walking down the stairs and confronting the Mega Crabominables, they’ll both turn on you and fight you, without the help of friendly NPCs from Team MZ.

Note that you will be fighting two level 114 Crabominables, so this will be one of the most brutal battles you’ve faced yet. After you’ve completed the battle, you’ll be able to snag Mega Crabominable.

How To Beat Mega Crabominable In Legends: Z-A

Come Back Later If You’re Overwhelmed

Mega Crabominable is weak to fire, fighting, flying, psychic, steel, and fairy types. Try to pick a Pokémon with at least one of these types that also has an area-of-effect (AOE) ability that can consistently hit both Mega Crabominables at the same time.

If you’re overwhelmed, don’t stress. You can come back later to take on the Mega Crabominable duo. In fact, this is sort of the expected strategy, since you’ll earn higher quality butter over the course of the DLC campaign, which will in turn let you craft higher quality donuts, which grant you more time within Hyperspace, as well as a higher level boost.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension has a few surprises up its sleeve, including Mega Evolutions located within Hyperspace side missions. There’s a lot to navigate and relearn with this DLC.
