It’s common knowledge that Solo Leveling is based on a South Korean web novel. The characters carry Korean names, the locations are based in South Korea, and Season 2’s opening featured a K-Pop star. And while people wait for Season 3’s official confirmation, the franchise has announced its collaboration with a major K-Pop girl group for an upcoming project and released a glimpse of how it will look.

On the Solo Leveling: Arise Facebook page, a music video teaser for i-dle x ARISE was shared, featuring (G)-IDLE members facing a gate, offering another glimpse into how Solo Leveling would look if it were adapted into live-action. Additionally, a preview image of this upcoming collaboration was shared on the fan news account @SLANewsEN, featuring the K-Pop members transformed into animated hunters, along with Sung Jinwoo. This isn’t the first time K-Pop entered the world of Solo Leveling. Felix from Stray Kids sang alongside J-Pop star LiSA in the show’s Season 2 opening, “ReawakeR,” and its official music video garnered over 24 million views on YouTube.

Solo Leveling: Arise is a PC and Mobile RPG video game that was released in 2024, where players play as Sung Jinwoo as he evolves from an E-Rank into the world’s strongest hunter. The collaboration with (G)-IDLE was first announced back in April via social media, where it was revealed that not only would they be writing a song, but they’re also going to appear in the game. This will be Solo Leveling: Arise‘s first collaboration, scheduled for release on July 3, 2025.

Is ‘Solo Leveling’ Getting A Live-Action Adaptation?

Following the success of Solo Leveling Season 1, the anime’s global distributor, Kakao Entertainment, has announced that a live-action adaptation is in the works. According to an official press release published in January 2025, the project is currently in development, with a script in the works. As for writing, the names of potential cast members have yet to be announced, and there is no scheduled release date.

However, Solo Leveling did release a movie before Season 2 was released. Solo Leveling -Reawakening- entered theaters in 2024. It was a compilation film that retold the first season, as well as featuring scenes from the first two episodes of Season 2. The movie received a Verified Hot audience score of 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, an 8.15 score on MyAnimeList, and grossed $6.3 million at the global box office.
