Blue Ivy Carter has found style inspo via her mom, Beyoncé, in the past, like when she wore a pair of wedge sneakers reminiscent of a style favored by Bey in the 2010s. But for her most recent look, she took inspiration from, well, herself, wearing a T-shirt from the Cowboy Carter tour with her face on it and styling said shirt with some extremely Y2K-esque pieces. If you had official concert tour merch dedicated to you, you’d wear it proudly too!
While shopping in Paris, Carter donned the “Déjà Blue” T-shirt sold at her mom’s tour, which features a photo of the eldest Carter child in a circular spotlight flanked with stars. The sapphire blue shirt is a reference to Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s song “Déja Vu,” of course, but also nods to Carter’s incredible performances during the tour, where she danced alongside her mom. Carter styled the tee with a pair of baggy, faded and embellished jeans from Jaded London, which retail for $165 but are currently available in limited sizes, a denim Louis Vuitton logo shoulder bag, boots, and a very 2000s pair of sheer, tinted sunglasses, plus a handful of bracelets and a hand chain. The entire ensemble looks like something Beyoncé would’ve worn back in 2003, but considering that all things ’00s are back and bigger than ever, it feels perfectly on-trend today too.
ABEI
Blue Ivy isn’t the only Carter family member who has worn the shirt since it dropped. Both Beyoncé and Jay have shouted out their eldest child via their wardrobe, with Bey wearing a sparkly version during the tour and Jay-Z wearing his more casually. While the Déjà Blue shirt was sold during the tour and isn’t officially available online, you may be able to find it on Poshmark, Depop, or eBay to pay homage to Manager Blue herself.
