The episode opens with Steffy and Finn sharing a quiet moment before work. Steffy tells Finn that she plans to talk to Hope about Taylor and Deacon’s growing relationship. Finn worries that it may not be a good idea.

However, Steffy understands that Hope wants to keep Deacon away from Sheila, but believes that Taylor getting involved with him could have serious consequences. She does not want Hope encouraging a relationship that could end badly for everyone involved.

Hope and Deke encourage Deacon

Meanwhile, Hope and Deke arrange a private family meeting at Forrester Creations to understand where Taylor and Deacon stand. They try to make Deacon see that his marriage to Sheila is not working and that he deserves better. The siblings want their dad to have a happy life with the woman he truly loves.

Hope and Deke urge Deacon to admit his feelings for Taylor and pursue the life he wants. At first, Deacon refuses to talk about his romantic life, but he accidentally lets the word love slip, which Hope and Deke quickly latch onto.

Sheila wants help

At Il Giardino, Taylor is cornered by Sheila, who asks for psychiatric help regarding her failing relationship with Deacon. Despite Taylor’s refusal, Sheila reveals that her husband refuses to be intimate with her.

Taylor makes it clear that she is no longer Deacon’s psychiatrist and has no interest in getting involved in their private issues. Sheila continues to push until she remembers she has a scheduled pedicure appointment and leaves. Taylor is relieved once she is gone.

Deacon attempts to get closer to Taylor in public

After Sheila leaves, Deacon approaches Taylor and is thrilled to see her, admitting that he has been thinking about her all day. Taylor warns him that Sheila was just there and reminds him of Steffy’s ultimatum that they should not be seen together. However, Deacon is unconcerned about the risk and insists that he cannot stop thinking about her.

Elsewhere, Hope and Deke continue discussing their father’s love life. They note that Steffy would likely try to force them to see the situation from her perspective regarding the Taylor and Deacon romance. Before Steffy walks in, the siblings vent about wanting their dad to be with the woman he loves.

Taylor violates Steffy’s ultimatum

Steffy later informs Hope and Deke that she has spoken to Taylor and believes her mother will stay away from Deacon. However, at Il Giardino, events suggest otherwise. Taylor tells Deacon about Sheila confronting her over concerns about their intimate life. Deacon insists that Taylor is the only woman he wants and that he cannot imagine being with anyone else.

Taylor admits she feels the same. The two nearly kiss in the crowded restaurant as they confess their love, defying their children’s demands. Deacon reaches for Taylor’s necklace, drawing them even closer, a public display of affection that could cause serious problems if witnessed.
