Brooke Shields continued fall’s suede streak at the Citymeals on Wheels 38th Annual Power Lunch on Wednesday, arriving at The Plaza in black over-the-knee boots that marked her second suede-boot appearance in a week.

The matte pair appeared in a rounded almond toe with a low, wedge-leaning block heel and a clean shaft that rose just above the knee, with no visible hardware.

She kept the palette simple, wearing a white satin-finish, long-sleeve blouse with a black leather A-line midi skirt. She carried a black shoulder bag with light quilting and added a few gold pieces of jewelry, including a pendant necklace and rings. As for glam, it was subtle: softly defined eyes, a muted lip and loose waves that matched the ease of the look.

Wednesday’s appearance also extended her own suede run this month. Last week, Shields arrived at an Alice + Olivia party in black over-the-knee boots with a pointed toe and slim kitten heel — a dressier counterpart to the matte block-heeled pair she chose for Citymeals.

She joins a broader lineup of recent suede moments across red carpets and premieres. Ivy Getty stepped into deep brown suede knee-highs at Printemps’ “Holiday in Paris” celebration the night before, contrasting the matte texture against a black high-shine set. Kate Hudson worked chocolate suede boots into her “Song Sung Blue” screening wardrobe last month, while Kris Jenner wore camel suede during a London shopping stop. The material has cut across silhouettes and cities as temperatures drop, landing on everything from over-the-knee profiles to calf-height staples.

Inside The Plaza, Shields was among the 400 supporters attending Citymeals’ biggest fundraiser of the year. The annual Power Lunch — conceived in 1986 by founder Gael Greene and board member Joan Weill as a riff on the men’s power-breakfast model — honors leaders and longtime partners in the organization’s work to end elder hunger. This year’s luncheon recognized Citymeals board member Suri Kasirer and corporate partners WWD, Robb Report and Penske Media.
