Title track “BULLY” is causing plenty of conversation online, as listeners look up the lyrics.
The song opens with a sample of The Simpsons character Nelson Muntz, often portrayed as a bully in the series, doing his signature taunting laugh.
“You made a kingdom fall in love / I’ll take the pill, it’s small enough / Too late, my system’s run amok / I wanna beat somebody up / Like a bully, mm,” Kanye raps.
“You think I’m a riot / I see the facade / You wish I’d be quiet / Don’t preach to a God / A God / To a God, to tell the truth.”
“Yeah, obey, hey baby, do what I say / Like it ain’t no other way!” CeeLo declares on the chorus. “Baby, do what I say!”
The outro is taken from the Bollywood Hindi song “Mujhe Maar Daalo” (Kill Me)” by Indian singer Asha Bhosle, roughly translating to “Dying, dying, place this.”
“My son [Saint] was playing with some kid and then he kicked him and I asked my son like, ‘why you do that?’ He said ’cause he weak,’ and I was like…this man is really a bully,” Ye reflected in a recent interview about his album’s title.
Ye took out an ad back in January in an issue of The Wall Street Journal, where he addressed those he has hurt. If you don’t know, he’s made antisemitic statements in public in recent years, and as recently as 2025 was selling swastika t-shirts.
