Milwaukee Bucks guard Kevin Porter Jr. will be sidelined for approximately four weeks with a meniscus injury in his right knee.

He sustained the injury while working out on the court Thursday and will require a minor orthopedic procedure, the team announced Friday night.

Porter, 25, hasn’t played since sustaining a sprained left ankle during the first quarter of Milwaukee’s season-opening 133-120 win against the Washington Wizards on Oct. 22. He finished with 10 points in nine minutes.

Porter is playing his first full season with the Bucks after being acquired in a trade last February with the Los Angeles Clippers. He signed a two-year, $10.5 million deal with Milwaukee this summer, with the second year being a player option.

A 2019 first-round pick by Milwaukee, Porter has career averages of 13.9 points, 4.6 assists and 4.1 rebounds in 272 games (151 starts) with the Cleveland Cavaliers (2019-20), Houston Rockets (2020-23), Los Angeles Clippers (2024-25) and Bucks.

India’s premier men’s doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty withdrew from the upcoming Badminton Asia Championship, with their coach Tan Kim Her confirming the development on Monday.

The Korean coach told PTI that the World No. 4 duo will not take part in the tournament as Rankireddy recovers from a shoulder injury. The pair had also pulled out before their Swiss Open quarterfinal last month due to an injury.

In their absence, Hariharan Amsakarunan and M.R. Arjun will be the only Indians in fray in men’s doubles.

The women’s doubles pairing of Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand also withdrew from the tournament. However, the reason for their absence is yet to be confirmed.
