“She’s just so passionate about the whole electric toothbrush thing, though. It’s really quite endearing.” An early promo trailer has debuted online for an indie comedy film called Tooth Shop Fiasco, about a slacker kid who gets into all kinds of trouble chasing after his dental hygienist. This new film also marks the feature directorial debut of filmmaker David Harari, who produced the kooky comedy delight Sasquatch Sunset and a few other indie film projects. The film follows James Lassen, a clueless slacker/rocker misfit who has an upcoming date with the dentist girl, and everything goes downhill from there. James will have to learn some important lessons while avoiding these confusing moral head-trips. Starring Blaine Maye as James, along with Rochelle Robinson, Katie Folger, Carol Hickey. Keep an eye out for this one playing at festivals.
Here’s the festival promo trailer for David Harari’s film Tooth Shop Fiasco, from YouTube:

A young metalhead tries to keep his rock and roll dreams alive hoping his brother / bandmate wakes up from a coma, while dodging sexual advances from his dental-hygienist, religious guidance from a rabbi family friend, and impatient fans who want him to forget the band and become the rock god they always wanted. Tooth Shop Fiasco is an indie film written and directed by American producer / filmmaker David Harari, making his feature directorial debut after producing a few other indie projects including Sasquatch Sunset (2024). It’s produced by George Rush & Michael Tully. This will be premiering soon at the 2026 San Francisco Indie Festival this month in California. No other release dates are set yet – stay tuned for updates.
