“Kara is a complete force to be reckoned with.” 🕶️ Warner Bros & DC Studios have debuted a quick behind-the-scenes promo for this summer’s Supergirl movie, the follow-up to James Gunn’s Superman last year. Supergirl is directed by Craig Gillespie (of I, Tonya and Cruella) and hit in theaters in June 2026 for another fun DC adventure. When an unexpected & ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion. Kara Zor-El celebrates her 21st birthday by travelling across the galaxy with her dog Krypto. She meets Ruthye Marye Knoll and encounters a tragedy that leads her out on a murderous quest for revenge – and to save her dog. Milly Alcock stars as Kara Zor-El, with Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, as well as Jason Momoa as Lobo (hey there!). This featurette is a complement to the most recent official trailer from earlier in the week. The focus is on hyping up Milly Alcock playing Kara Zor-El and how perfect and totally badass she is in this major big screen role. I do hope it delivers on that badass & less on the schmalzy! View below.

Here’s the first behind-the-scenes featurette for Craig Gillespie’s Supergirl movie, direct from YouTube:
