This summer is going to be a fun time to be a horror fan as the likes of M3GAN 2.0 and I Know What You Did Last Summer will be lighting up the box office. However, June also holds the year’s only “Friday the 13th”. On top of that, 2025 marks the 45th anniversary of the Friday the 13th franchise. While there’s no new film to celebrate and A24’s Crystal Lake series for Peacock is a ways off, that doesn’t mean we can’t party hard for Jason Voorhees. Paramount Scares and Bloody Disgusting are throwing the ultimate Friday the 13th event this month that fans aren’t going to want to miss.

The Friday the 13th anniversary event will be held at Street Food Cinema (SFC) in Los Angeles, California. Of course, on Friday, June 13th. This is a part of LA’s largest outdoor cinema series. While there will be a screening of the original 1980 classic that started it all, there will also be themed photo ops, swag giveaways, a spooky marketplace, interactive horror trivia and more. In addition to that, there will be food trucks with a full bar to satisfy any horror fan’s desires, as well as live music from DJ Splyce. However, arguably the best part is that the chilling event will be hosted by James A. Janisse and Chelsea Rebecca of the popular Dead Meat horror-branded YouTube channel. This will be a one-night-only event with the doors opening at 8 PM and the scream-worthy festivities starting at 10 PM. General admission tickets will be $25 USD and VIP tickets are $40. The latter includes early admission with stadium chair seating in the reserved section.
