Robbie Simpson has cemented himself as a frontrunner on the Hallmark Channel competition series Finding Mr. Christmas with multiple wins in the “Star Quality” challenges over the past few weeks.

Hallmark is searching for its next leading man, with the winner of the series earning a role in an upcoming Christmas movie.

There are currently six contestants remaining on the reality series and we caught up with Robbie to learn more about him. For those who don’t know, he has been representing the LGBTQ+ community on the show and comes from a musical theatre background!

1. I was a full-blown band geek in high school. Trumpet and Baritone Horn. Yes… I went to band camp.
2. I’ve run four marathons: three in New York and one in Columbus, Ohio. The real endurance test? Not complaining about it afterward.
3. My first crush was Carson Daly on TRL. The man had a countdown, a headset, and my heart.
4. I used to tutor the LSAT. Elle Woods voice: “What, like it’s hard?”
5. My mom once won a Blue Ribbon at the Westminster Dog Show. So technically, we’re a champion bloodline.

6. My favorite city is London. If immigration would let me, I’d already be sipping tea and complaining about the Tube.
7. I have an MFA in Classical Acting from The Old Globe/University of San Diego. Yes, I can say “thou” and “thee” with feeling.
8. When I was 10, I helped one of our dogs give birth in the back seat of a car. Spielberg still hasn’t returned my calls about adapting it.
9. I’m a competitive skier. If it’s downhill and dangerous, I’m interested.
10. I am a reality TV super fan, so starring on Hallmark’s Finding Mr. Christmas is a total dream come true.
