Harry Styles is no stranger to food-based sexual innuendos. From eating melons and strawberries (you know) under summer skies on his 2019 hit “Watermelon Sugar” to calling someone so hot that he could cook eggs on their body on the track “Music for a Sushi Restaurant” (which, who knows, is maybe also an euphemism), appetite and desire are inextricably linked in his discography. So it’s fitting that he teased a new item from Pleasing, his unisex lifestyle brand, in a promotional spot for his Saturday Night Live hosting gig: a T-shirt stamped suggestively with two pasty-like cinnamon buns, on the verge of dripping off the shirt.

Pleasing teased the collection with a cheeky message on their website: “Nice buns. One for you, one for me.” The line doesn’t come from a current Styles lyric—at least not one already featured on his brand-new fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time, Disco Occasionally—but it’s easy to imagine him stumbling upon, perhaps while spilling out of an Italian café, La Bionda’s 1978 disco track “One for You, One for Me” during his summer 2024 hajj through Italy.

Styles’s stylist, Harry Lambert, who acts as Pleasing’s co-creative director, has helped define the pop star’s fun and flirty androgynous aesthetic. The cheeky pastry shirt slots right into the sunny ethos of the brand’s offerings, which typically feature pastel apparel, canvas beach totes, and vibrant nail polish sets in summery shades. Like the knit JW Anderson cardigan and 2021 Grammy’s boa look before it, this shirt is destined to become a Harry Styles fan staple. It arrived just in time for his upcoming Together, Together Tour in support of Kiss All the Time, Disco Occasionally. I can practically smell the iron steam coming from his fan’s home made shirt presses.

Meanwhile, during and after the SNL broadcast over the weekend, Styles wound up wearing lots of Chanel—particularly the label’s iconic grandma-chic tweed jackets—on stage and to the afterparty. The French label, historically known for its womenswear, has been dressing more and more famous men as of late, including new house ambassador A$AP Rocky and Pedro Pascal at last night’s Academy Awards. And when it comes to Styles, there’s definitely something there with the double Cs and the double cinnamon buns… He’s cooking here.
